WHO expert calls for patience before releasing coronavirus origin-tracing report
A summary report of WHO-China Joint mission to the Chinese city of Wuhan to search for the origins of COVID-19 will likely be released soon. A week after their trip concluded, a number of WHO experts have been critical of how the trip has been reported outside China.
CGTN reporter Feng Yilei spoke to Dr. Hung Nguyen Viet, part of the research team, about his expectations for the research and his own experience in Wuhan. The scientist called for patience and respect before the release of the report.
Dr. Hung is also the co-leader of the Animal and Human Health Program at the International Livestock Research Institute in Nairobi, Kenya.
