CDC: U.S. life expectancy fell by a year in first six months of 2020

U.S. life expectancy plummeted by one year in the first half of 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic, the biggest decline since World War Two, according to a study published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Center for Health Statistics on Thursday.
