Texas wholesale electric prices spiked more than 10,000 percent by February 15, Reuters reported, citing data provided by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas.

Because of the storm and cold, the worst U.S. power outages were in Texas, affecting more than 2 million homes and businesses.
