Recently, a rare bird with metalized glossy feathers appeared in the Qinghuahai National Wetland Park in Baoshan City, southwest China's Yunnan Province.
The glossy ibis is a wading bird that is found in Southern Europe, Africa and China.
According to park staff, the bird is very rare in China. Many experts had even suspected that it was extinct as it had not been seen domestically in 70 years before 2009. The staff said three stable glossy ibises are staying in the area now.
