A cute black-throated bushtit was captured on camera Wednesday in Jingzhou City, central China's Hubei Province.

The small bird's body is only about 10 centimeters long. It's distinguished by its black throat and black "bandit mask" around the eyes.

Bird lover and amateur photographer Niu Yingsheng took the pictures on a routine bird-watching tour across the city.

Niu, a 61-year-old retiree living in Jingzhou, has been observing birds in the wild for six years.

He described the process of photographing the bird as very difficult, because the agile creature is constantly on the move.
