Indonesia's Minister of Villages: China's poverty alleviation efforts are becoming our inspiration moving forward
Indonesia has been closely watching China's progress in poverty alleviation. Indonesia's Minister of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration Abdul Halim gave CGTN his assessment. He said: "China's efforts are becoming our inspiration moving forward. We are working together with China to create prosperous villages in Indonesia. This is an ongoing project and will continue to go on, but currently, it is on a halt because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But so far, we have learned a lot from China, what they have achieved in their country and how they bring that knowledge to us here. I visited one of the villages in West Java and I saw how the benefits strengthened social, economic, and cultural views in the village."
