UN kicks off session to promote and protect human rights

The United Nations has kicked off its regular session to promote and protect human rights. Dignitaries representing more than 130 countries are set to address the council on their governments' efforts. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was the first to address the meeting via a pre-recorded video message.
