On December 17 last year, after 23 days, the Chang'e-5 Lunar Satellite returned to Earth with samples from the moon. It's the first time for China's Lunar Exploration Project to realize several "firsts" in China's space history.
Chinese President Xi Jinping on February 23 called on the country's space industry to further its innovative development and make greater contributions to the peaceful use of outer space. Xi made the call while meeting some of the Chang'e-5 lunar mission participants at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
