A yellow-breasted magpie was photographed on Monday in a park in Shenzhen City, southern China's Guangdong Province.

Bird lover and amateur photographer Fangcao said she was quite surprised to see the bird, which is only found in southern China's Guangxi Province and Hainan island, and in Southeast Asia.

She suspected the magpie, which is under second-class state protection, to have escaped from wild bird traffickers or domestic keeping.
