The Macao Special Administrative Region's Health Bureau on Monday removed the last two cities on the Chinese mainland from its list of high-risk regions of the coronavirus, which means people from the Chinese mainland don't have to be quarantined for 14 days after their arrival in Macao.

The two cities are: Shijiazhuang City in north China's Hebei Province and Suihua City in northeastern China's Heilongjiang Province.

Previously, one district of Beijing, one of Shanghai and over 10 cities of Jilin, Heilongjiang and Hebei in the mainland were listed as medium- or high-risk areas and people from these places had to go through a 14-day quarantine at designated hotels after their arrival.

So far, Macao has reported 48 coronavirus cases with no deaths, and the special administrative region on Monday started inoculating all Macao ID holders.

As of Monday, about 15,000 local residents had made reservations for vaccinations and over 3,000 in prioritized groups had completed inoculation, according to the Health Bureau.
