A history of Chinese costume through thousands of years has been brought alive by "Ancient Chinese Culture: Costume and Adornment" at the National Museum of China in Beijing. /VCG

Based on decades of research by Sun Ji and other scholars from the museum, the exhibition features nearly 130 cultural relics from the pre-Qin period (pre-221 B.C.) to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). /VCG

The exhibition explores the development and cultural connotations of ancient Chinese costume, supplemented by exhibits, pictures and multimedia facilities. /VCG
