China has solved a problem plaguing it for thousands of years. For the first time in its civilizational history, China has wiped out extreme poverty on its lands. In doing so, it has now lifted over 850 million people out of poverty since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949 and nearly 100 million people in just the last nine years alone. It also makes China the first country in the world to end absolute poverty. How did China manage this feat? CGTN anchor Michael Wang has the answers.
