A special plane from Argentina is flying a batch of China's Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine shots back to the country from Beijing and is expected to land in Buenos Aires on Thursday night.

The shots will be reportedly provided to medical workers and teachers.

The Latin American country has so far registered over 2 million confirmed cases and over 51,000 people have lost their lives to COVID-19.
