Mozambique received its first batch of COVID-19 vaccines donated by the Chinese government on Wednesday afternoon.

Officials including Mozambican Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosario and the Chinese Ambassador to Mozambique Wang Hejun welcomed the aid at Maputo International Airport.

Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi expressed gratitude towards China for the aid on a Facebook post, saying the two countries are discussing further cooperation.
