Adherence to a people-centered approach has been an important guide for the Communist Party of China and the central government in eradicating extreme poverty. "As long as we always adhere to a people-centered approach and work away at issue by issue, year in and year out, a more substantial progress will be made in achieving common prosperity for everyone," Chinese President Xi Jinping said while marking China's accomplishment in extreme poverty eradication at a gathering in Beijing on Thursday.
