The U.S. announced visa bans targeting 76 Saudi citizens over the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, but none on Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Wang Jin, associate professor at the Institute of Middle East Studies, Northwest University of China, pointed out that although the two sides have disagreements, Washington still wants to maintain positive ties with Riyadh.
