The UN has passed a resolution calling for ceasefires to allow COVID vaccination efforts in conflict areas. The proposal, unanimously adopted by the Security Council, urges sustained humanitarian pauses for inoculations to take place. It also urges more support for the COVAX initiative to help developing countries get access to vaccines. COVAX began distributing vaccines on Wednesday, with 600,000 doses arriving in Ghana.
