Tourists have been enjoying the spectacular views of ice shoves in Bosten Lake, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, over the past few days. 

Ice shove, or shoreline ice pileup, is a surge of ice from an ocean or large lake onto the shore. It is caused by currents, strong winds or temperature differences pushing ice onto the shore and creating piles, which can be as high as 12 meters.
