Eleven people, including seven men and four women were arrested and charged in China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on Monday for suspected participation in a riot, according to Hong Kong police.

The 11 individuals were all involved in the riot at Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2019, police said.

They will appear in Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts for the case on Tuesday morning.
