Hungary is the first European Union member state to buy and authorize the use of Chinese vaccines. Prime Minister Viktor Orban received his first injection of the Sinopharm vaccine after President Janos Ader who also opted for the Chinese vaccine. Later, Orban posted a video of him getting the shot on Facebook, calling on the public to trust the Chinese vaccine and complete their vaccinations as soon as possible.
