The first batch of vaccines is expected to arrive in Taiwan soon. Part of the vaccines are from the World Health Organization (WHO)-led global distribution initiative COVAX. The Chinese mainland has donated ten million doses to COVAX, adding that the beneficiaries include Taiwan. Taiwan has banned imports of vaccines from the Chinese mainland, and its officials have warned against their use. Victor Gao, the chair professor of Soochow University, shared his view about it.
