An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 struck central Greece on Wednesday, United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The depth of the quake was measured at 10 km, according to USGS.
No injuries or deaths were immediately reported, but several buildings were damaged, Greek national broadcaster ERT reported.
Tremors were felt throughout a large part of mainland Greece. Residents of towns and villages in particular close to the epicenter fled to the streets, Greek national news agency AMNA said.
