China's top political advisor Wang Yang stressed the enhancement of theoretical and political guidance with a focus on celebrating the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) at the fourth session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the country's top political advisory body, held on Thursday in Beijing.

Noting the year marks the 100th founding anniversary of the CPC, Wang called on members to take part in the CPC centenary celebrations and help organize the historical exhibitions on the Eighth National Congress of the CPC in order to deepen their understanding of the CPC and its mission.

CPPCC also invited non-CPC parties, people's organizations and public figures from all ethnic groups and sectors of society in the CPPCC to review the extraordinary course of the Party over the past century and the great transformation of the Chinese nation to one of growing prosperity and strength

The Chinese top political advisor hoped they will learn the historic achievements and changes in the cause of Party and country since the 18th National Party Congress and the development of CPC-led CPPCC work to better understand the founding mission of the CPC and consolidate their conviction in the CPC.

"We will boost political, intellectual, theoretical and emotional identification with the CPC, follow it unswervingly, and work together with it along the new journey ahead," said Wang.
