The Czech Republic has asked China for deliveries of COVID-19 vaccines made by China's Sinopharm, Czech President Milos Zeman's spokesman said on Wednesday.
"According to a report from the Czech embassy in Beijing, the Chinese side has decided to immediately meet this request," the spokesman said in a statement on the president's website.
The central European country of 10.7 million people has been one of the world's worst-hit by the coronavirus pandemic, with hospitals reporting full capacity.
