The sight of a male kingfisher trying to win a female's heart by offering fish excited many shutterbugs on February 23 in Xiangyang City of central China's Hubei Province.

In a park, the male made repeated endeavors to catch fish from the lake and offer it to the female as part of the courtship ritual.

The photos were taken by different photographers and sent to CGTN Nature by Fang Xiang'an, a bird lover based in Xiangyang City. She has been using her spare time to observe and photograph birds across the country.
