Zhou Hongyi, chairman and CEO of Beijing-based internet security company Qihoo 360, has called for more attention on cybersecurity in the digital age.
He made the remarks on Thursday as a political advisor during a Members' Corridor event preceding the fourth session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in Beijing.
Cybersecurity is the foundation of China's national digitalization strategy, and cybersecurity services should be further improved, Zhou said.
China has stressed the importance of development as well as security in its 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035, in a bid to safeguard people's livelihood and security in a digital age, Zhou said.
