U.S. House lawmakers on Wednesday passed a police reform bill named after George Floyd by 220-212 to ban chokeholds and eliminate qualified immunity for law enforcement.

A version of the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act was passed largely along partisan lines after Floyd's death last year, but it stalled in the then-Republican-controlled Senate.
