The 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and its Standing Committee were active in the fight against COVID-19 in 2020 and "promptly engaged" CPPCC organizations across the country in combating the pandemic, China's top political advisor Wang Yang said on Thursday.

Wang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, made the remarks while delivering a work report at the fourth session of the 13th National Committee of the CPPCC at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
