Martin Liao Cheung-Kong, an NPC deputy from Hong Kong, shared his thoughts on the principle of "patriots governing Hong Kong". He pointed out that "patriots are someone who will truly embrace the sovereignty of the motherland and would not do anything to harm the stability of Hong Kong".
