Professor Zhang Wei, co-director of the Institute for Human Rights at China University of Political Science and Law, in an interview with CGTN on Saturday, said that the support from 70 countries in the United Nations is a positive move for Hong Kong’s future. As for a sharp contrast in U.S. officials’ comments on the Capitol Hill riot and Hong Kong turmoil, Professor Zhang said it’s clear that the U.S. has applied a double standard.
