Male blue-footed boobies show off their feet in a fascinating mating dance. The marine birds shift from one foot to another in an attempt to attract a female mate.

The color of the boobies' distinctively bright-blue feet indicates how able a hunter they are – an attractive quality to the opposite sex. Photographer Peter Cooper captured the shots on a trip to the Galapagos Islands, off the coast of Ecuador.
