General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov hailed the great achievement made by the Communist Party of China (CPC) to international socialism and attributed the success to its vocation to learn from history and people.

In an article published on Thursday, Zyuganov said the CPC is the party that has the deepest understanding of its country, as well as the need of its people.

Upholding the principle of people supremacy and people-centered actions is the main reason that ensures rapid development in China, Zyuganov said.

Under the leadership of the CPC, the Chinese people are capable of overcoming all the challenges on their path for developing socialism with Chinese characteristics.

According to Zyuganov, CPC's contributions to international socialism can be summarized in several aspects. First, it managed to turn a quarter of the global population into citizens of socialist China with the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949.

Under the development pattern with Chinese characteristics, the CPC turned the country into one of the biggest economies in the world, which, in Zyuganov's view, lays a solid material foundation for the future development of China.

He thanked China for bringing up peaceful and innovative initiatives in the international community and pointed out that the achievement of socialism worldwide largely depends on achievements made by the CPC in the future.

Zyuganov spoke highly of the CPC-proposed vision of "building a community with a shared future for mankind" and noted that the "Belt and Road Initiative" is the detailed procedure for establishing a world of long-term prosperity and justice.
