Leo Ho is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the City University of Hong Kong. Unlike many Chinese PhD graduates, he chose to come to Shenzhen to establish his own company rather than becoming a faculty member at a university. He said China's 14th Five-Year Plan, which has made self-reliance and self-improvement in science and technology a strategic pillar, is in line with his company's current development path.
