Seventy nations voiced their support for China on issues related to Hong Kong at the United Nations Human Rights Council on Friday. Belarus delivered a joint speech on behalf of the group. They urged the relevant sides to respect China's sovereignty and stop interfering in Hong Kong affairs. On the same day, China's Permanent Representative at the UN in Geneva reaffirmed the need to improve Hong Kong's electoral system.
