British scholar Martin Jacques has been a keen observer of China. He is the author of "When China Rules the World." As China begins its annual national political meetings, some lawmakers are suggesting possible improvements to Hong Kong's electoral system. Martin Jacques says it's time for Hong Kong to stop copying models from the West, instead, the special administrative region's future lies northward with China's mainland.
