"Zhejiang Province has the most beautiful landscape, rich cultural heritage, innovative dynamic economy, especially the digital economy." said Yuan Jiajun, secretary of the Communist Party of Zhejiang Provincial Committee, during his interview with CGTN.

"We have beautiful countryside, we have lucid water and green mountains," Yuan added, "so I would like to give friends from Asia and whole world of warmest welcome to the city of Hangzhou."

Hangzhou will host the 19th Asian Games September 10-25, 2022.

As the temperature warms in east China's Zhejiang Province, flowers across the province are vividly blooming with fragrances filling the air, enchanting tourists during spring outings.

"I saw the full-blossomed flowers in different places around me recently, so I want to take the whole family out for a walk in the early spring," one local visitor told Ningbo Evening News. Metropolises' outskirts and neighboring cities have become popular destinations.

Short-distance travel registered the fastest recovery from the COVID-19 setbacks within the tourism industry since the second quarter of last year, according to a report by Chinese travel service and social-networking platform Mafengwo.

Flower appreciation in Zhejiang Province sees its peak season in March, according to industry insiders.

Chrysanthemums, Chinese roses and Cymbidium orchids, the provincial flower of Zhejiang, blossomed in scenic spots like Hangzhou Flower Garden, which helps to boost tourism in Zhejiang Province.

The orchid is an age-old traditional flower that's inextricably linked with the country's culture. The image of orchid appears in poems, paintings and literature.
