Feng Ying is one of China's most famous ballerinas and currently the director and artistic director of the National Ballet of China (NBC). A graduate of the Beijing Dance Academy, she joined the NBC in 1980. In 1997, she relaunched her career as a teacher and choreographer. To date, she has been involved in training a dozen dancers who have gone on to win gold medals in major international ballet competitions.
