CGTN Digital's second International Nature Photography Contest has closed. We eventually selected six works from hundreds of submissions and awarded the authors. But we still want to share other interesting nature photos and concept from the winners and candidates. The number of awards is limited, while sharing other great works is not.

"I believe nature is the only solution to all our life problems," says Rahul Lakhmani in his statement submitted to CGTN International Nature Photography Contest. The Indian photographer won second prize in the contest with his work "Where is my Nectar." And here we share other works from Rahul.

Tinny and swift squirrels are among the most easily spotted animals in many cities. All the images submitted by Rahul were taken in the urban area, his residential society.

"He just came, sat, saw in the camera and flew," wrote by Rahul in the  description. When most of the mammals retreat to the forests and woods during the urbanization, the avian is still "occupying" their territory in the sky. Keeping the safe distance, they like to look at, or maybe observe humans, eye to eye.

Most people don't like flies as they always land on your food or buzz in the house. But many flies are also important pollinators for a variety of plants.

Rahul believes we can find solutions of any problem from nature, or at least to reduce our daily life stress. "Because of these things, I motivate people to watch and participate with nature and preserve it for our future generations."
