President Xi's highlights at the fourth session of the 13th National People's Congress

Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, took part in deliberation with the delegation of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on March 5 at the fourth session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC).  

President Xi met national political advisors from the education, medical and health sectors attending a joint group meeting at the fourth session of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in Beijing on March 6. He highlighted women's contribution to building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, poverty alleviation and combating COVID-19.

On March 7, President Xi took part in a deliberation with lawmakers from Qinghai Province at the fourth session of the 13th NPC. He expressed concern over the post-disaster reconstruction of Yushu City, which was hit by a magnitude 7.1 earthquake on April 14, 2010.
