In Beijing's Summer Palace, a pair of great crested grebe was spotted "dancing" as part of their mating rituals.

The colorful-headed great crested grebe is a water bird noted for its elaborate mating display. By hitting each other's chest, the great crested grebe shows its affection.

It is the largest member of the grebe family found in Asia, Africa and Europe. An excellent swimmer and diver, it pursues its fish prey underwater.
