Science innovation is a keyword at this year's Two Sessions. Duan Xuru, a chief fusion technology scientist at the China National Nuclear Corporation, also a CPPCC member, spoke to CGTN about China's innovation in fusion experiments and its participation in the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) based in France. He also stressed the role of fundamental research in promoting technological innovation.
