China's top political advisors have wrapped up on Wednesday nearly a week of deliberations on proposals that cover areas from the economy to legislative reforms.
Wang Yang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), called on the CPPCC to give full play to democratic consultation and focus on building a modern socialist country in an all-round way, the key tasks of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) period, and the concerns of the people.
