There is consensus in China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) over implementing "patriots administering Hong Kong," Choi Wong Ling-ling, a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said on Wednesday.

Choi, also a member of the standing committee of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (AFROC), made the remarks during a Members' Corridor meeting with the media ahead of the closing session of the 13th CPPCC National Committee in Beijing.  

She also called for strengthening patriotic education among the youth in the HKSAR.
