China has joined hands with more than 10 countries to research and develop vaccines. The country currently has 17 COVID-19 vaccines in clinical trials. So far, Chinese authorities have approved four vaccines – two from Sinopharm, one from Sinovac, and one from CanSino. Experts say more than 4,300 researchers across nearly 400 teams have taken part in vaccine research and development.
