The U.S. and India have had more frequent exchanges lately, but observers say the timing of their alliance depends on the development of China-India relations. On March 7, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said similar situations faced by China and India means the two countries share the same or like-minded stances toward many major issues which makes China and India friends and partners, not threats and opponents.
