Chief Executive Carrie Lam of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) said Saturday that over 160,000 residents had received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as of Friday evening.
Lam called on residents to cooperate and participate in the campaign and urged relevant departments to expand COVID-19 vaccination eligibility to more people.
Lam added that the central government fully supports the HKSAR's fight against COVID-19 and has promised to ensure that vaccines are accessible to all in the region.
