The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) reported 47 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, pushing its total tally to 11,257, according to the Center for Health Protection (CHP).
Among the new cases, 43 are local infections and four from overseas.
Besides, over 10 patients had tested positive for COVID-19 in preliminary results, said the CHP.
Of the local cases, four had an unknown source and 35 were related to an outbreak at a fitness center in Western District. The number of infections related to the gym has climbed to 99, the CHP added.
According to Hong Kong's Hospital Authority, 233 COVID-19 patients are currently receiving treatment in public hospitals - the community treatment facility at AsiaWorld-Expo, and the North Lantau Hospital Hong Kong Infection Control Center - among them, 13 patients are in critical condition.
