Myanmar's Suu Kyi-appointed investment minister suspends all projects, calls military government 'illegitimate'

Aung San Suu Kyi-appointed Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations in Myanmar on Saturday announced it has suspended the issuance of all investment permits and endorsements for all investment projects, advising investors to "refrain from submitting all applications until further notice."

U Tin Tun Naing, acting union minister, said in a statement that all permits and endorsements issued by the "illegitimate military regime from February 1, 2021 are illegal and invalid."
