Red powder puff flowers bloom in Hainan Tropical Botanical Garden
CGTN

The red powder puff flower has silky leaves and powder-puff-like balls of stamens. The eye-catching plant is native to sub-tropical and tropical regions of the Americas. Now it's cultivated in many countries as an ornamental plant. The plant likes sunshine and warm climates, and is suitable for growing in deep, fertile and well drained acid soil. The red powder puff flower is not only loved by humans, it's also attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds.

Here are some photos of the red powder puff flowers taken by CGTN Nature film crew in Hainan Tropical Botanical Garden in Danzhou City, south China's Hainan Province.
