The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Tuesday dispelled the misinformation being reported and promoted by several South Korean media outlets that a sandstorm that "originated in north China" was impacting the country. The ministry spokesperson quoted scientific evidence to clarify that the dust storm started outside of China, calling for multilateral cooperation in tackling the global environmental challenges.
